Bought these on line for the buckle fasteners as i assumed they might be quicker and easier to place on and off than my existing lace ups.
Maybe they are smart for serious expedition use except for nipping in and out they are worse than my lace ups - the structure of the boot is thus serious duty that they are a struggle to place on even with the buckles undone - and once buckled you cannot tension the straps as there is little 'give' within the boot to permit tightening.
Walking in them was a bit like sporting ski boots - tried them for every week and reverted to my lace ups.
They are undoubtedly heat though - though for general use around a ski resort they were too heat, my feet got pretty hot in them.

This are nice boots - if you wish very heat, very sturdy. i exploit them for snowmobiling at below 10degrees and for running my unheated bobcat to plow snow. Before this, my feet forever froze. currently they are toasty heat. once many times, they became straightforward to urge on and off. I place my orthodics in them which created them a much better work and more well-off. i believe I may really do an honest hike in them, however in fact they dont work sort of a hiking boot. btw.. you'll be able to pull the straps tighter once putting them on, however it takes the correct ""angle"" and a few arm power. i believe thats why they dont provide the buckles during a womens boot.
